This list is for us! There are players currently on a PWHL roster, divided between six teams.

Below is a list of all of the out gay players, and what team they’re on. For my purposes “out” is defined by being public about a relationship/sexuality on social media, or talking about it in an interview. The PWHL is breaking records and embracing LGBTQ+ inclusion, with out lesbian athletes leading the way in pro women’s hockey. She’s obviously not a player, but Billie Jean King seems to be playing a huge role in shaping the PWHL.

Watching her do the gay drop yesterday made me optimistic about LGBTQ+ acceptance and representation in the league.
