Near Frog Meadow’s rural mountaintop setting in Newfane, Vermont, is the Gay Beach and Nude Swimming Hole on the Rock River, which has been a safe space for men to gay for over 50 years. Like many Vermont Rivers, the Rock River suffered damage from Tropical Storm Irene, so the trails are washed away at one point, forcing intrepid gays to climb over rocks and ledges before getting back onto the trail.
